GENOA AND CANNES BOAT SHOW

In September the two most important nautical fairs of Europe: (the) Yachting Cannes Festival and (the) Nautical Hall of Genoa.

An unmissable event for all the sea lovers. The meeting of boaters from all over the world and a rich exhibition of novelties, in absolute preview. We are talking about boat shows, special events that allow lovers of the sector not only to closely observe the boats, but also to experience numerous activities.
In the last month of summer, as usual, it will be the city of Cannes, from 10th to 15th September to open the dances, closely followed by Genoa.

2019 edition of Cannes boat show will bring visitors together again in its sparkling bay, in an elegant and luxurious setting. Cannes Yachting Festival, the first show in chronological order of the European sailing season, with more than 100 sailing boats, monohulls and multihulls, is ready to confirm once again its uniqueness, by attracting guests from all over the world. A moment not to be missed by buyers and enthusiasts, who will take advantage of a convenient shuttle to reach the two ports where the fair will take place: Port Canto dedicated to sailing boats and nautical games and the Vieux Port, primarily addressed to the motor boating industry and the luxurious lifestyle connected to it. This area, with its space dedicated to all that concerns the elegant accessories of the nautical world, represents a very important part of the show: from Craftsmanship to complements, from furnishing to linen and beverage…a splendour that is certainly in the characteristics of the show and that you can deeply breathe here.

Furthermore, yachts and sailboats of different sizes (from 25 to 55 meters in the “super yachts extension” section, for example) will wait for visitors, during six unmissable days. That of the sail is a very wide and extended surface which, as never before, will be the predominant presence at the show: a novelty that responds to an increasingly strong market demand for this type of boat with a much increasing interest.
Not only sails and engines, but also specific tourism agencies of the sector and again architects, designers and boats interiors decorators, who will offer all their experience for advice or simple questions. During the show, It will be also possible to meet the ship’s crew, who will show visitors the interiors of the boats, by sharing with them a tasty flavour of the life on board.

And for buyers? Expert brokers will certainly be present at the Yachting Festival, guiding those interested in buying, selling or renting their favourite vehicles. Another sector in full expansion is that of Toys. It’s about objects and on board accessories primarily dedicated to aquatic sports, for exciting moments to share with friends and family: water skiing, jet boards, long boards and not only will wait both for adults and children for a guaranteed fun.
The icing on the cake of the French Nautic show is represented by the concours d’elegance which will see the participants attending a refined parade, both of boats with elegant lines, and of crews (including women, of course) in a luxurious on-board clothing.
Emotions, those that we will experience in Cannes, which will not end in the French city: it will be enough to move about 200 km, in the direction of Genoa, to enjoy, in a few days, the beginning of another important event dedicated to boating. We are talking about the most important exhibition in terms of size for the Mediterranean, which inevitably ranks among the most important nautical fairs in the world, a show that will await visitors from 19th to 24th September 2019, just 4 days after the conclusion of the Cannes Yachting Festival.

Every year, the Genoa Boat Show boasts a very high number of exhibitors and visitors and it will surely be the same for the 59th edition, which aims to replicate, if not surpass, the presences registered last year with more than 160,000 entries. That of 2019 is a special edition, which continues on the path of change that began in 2018, with the transition from a single large hall to an event divided into 4 vast thematic areas. An exhibition section able to satisfy also the most demanding visitors, will be dedicated to Yacht and Super yachts (as well as catamarans), with a model exposition of a refined design and equipped with the latest technologies. A luxury that will certainly not leave indifferent and that will confirm once again the Ligurian salon as one of the world’s most appetizing nautical showcases for elegance and modernity.
Exposition but also possibility to buy: waiting for buyers, there will be the refined VIP Lounge able to stimulate new business in a reserved and luxurious environment.
In the Genoa Show, the Sailing World will also be unmissable: a sector in full expansion, as already mentioned, which finds its great space also in the Genoa show. Innovation and design will dominate by involving all types of boats: from the smallest to the sporting ones and to those born for long crossings. An important showcase that really leaves nothing to chance and that is addressed to experts and beginners with the same determination and desire to amaze.

So much enthusiasm is also found in the section dedicated to the “overboard”. The “Boat Discovery”, in fact, includes an exhibition of outboard engines and pneumatic boats, as well as an area entirely dedicated to the most recent industry accessories, designed to improve the life on board and the staying at the sea.
The Boat Discovery area will also be dedicated to refreshment points in order to give visitors a moment of pause and good food, always in line with the “high” style of the show… Last but not least, the area dedicated to the Tech Trade. A section made up of the real and more and more required presence of experts in the field, who place themselves at the audience service.

Companies, free-lancer and suppliers of various nautical services will meet in this area showing the vanguard of the boats’ components, promoting the made in Italy and the dissemination of quality accessories, capable of making a real difference.
Six days of pure sea passion where the visitors can enjoy not only exhibitions but also a 360° journey. If we think that the latest nautical novelties are generally prepared only to be looked, we will remain surprised to discover that, thanks to the “Sea Experience”, it will be possible to experience sailing and water sports in first person, as well as taking part in the many events organized to entertain visitors! And then again, areas dedicated to swimming, rowing, windsurfing and a fun shopping district.

It has been also announced the presence of the Italian Republic President Sergio Mattarella, who will celebrate on his own way this new edition.
