TYRE CHECKING

It is always important to constantly check your car tyres, as they are a key component that ensures improved safety when driving. Below you will find some basic tips to follow, which apply to any type of tyre.

Inflation pressure: correct inflation pressure allows the car to be better managed during emergency manoeuvres and improves grip when turning. For precise information on the correct pressure for your vehicle, please refer to the operating and maintenance manual. Pressure control is also essential to avoid fuel wastage.

Tread depth: a good tread depth improves the grip of the car especially when it is raining to avoid aquaplaning effects.

Cleaning and maintenance: in addition to technical checks of the tyres, it is important to keep them clean and in good condition to protect them from ageing. You can do this by rinsing and drying the tyres to eliminate any residues and/or stones that may get stuck and by applying a specific product such as Gommalux 250ml spray by Fra-Ber to polish the tyre and protect it against rain. An important aspect that should always be taken into account when using tyre products is that they should never be applied on the tread, but only on the side of the wheel to avoid slipping and poor grip.

However, we recommend that you rely on a trusted body shop, so that you can check your vehicle’s tyres quickly and with the best tools, especially before long journeys.
