RÉTROMOBILE 2019

Rétromobile 2019. One of the greatest European exhibitions for vintage cars enthusiasts, curious, and experts will take place from 6 to 10 February at the Expo Area in Paris.

Citroën’s centenary, 70 years of Abarth, and many other celebrations to honour the past, live the present, and welcome the future.

A major European event dedicated to vintage cars and motorcycles. A unique opportunity for enthusiasts and a special event in which the less expert ones can have fun. This is the Rètromobile exhibition that takes place in Paris from 6 to 10 February at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre.
This year, the major French exhibition dedicated to vintage cars will celebrate its 42nd edition with a series of events and new proposals. A must-attend exhibition for vintage automotive enthusiasts, where they can admire the iconic models of major international car manufacturers and learn about new visions. A mix between the past and the present, which makes this event the best in its field. “Engaging” is this year’s keyword. In fact, attendees will be immersed in exhibitions, art installations, auctions, and other small rarities related to the vintage automotive world. But there will also be room for interesting flashes into the future. Wherever you go, there’ll be a surprise for you.

This 42nd edition is going to be legendary. In fact, this year, Citroën celebrates 100 years from the foundation of the “Double Chevron” brand. And to honour this important milestone, Citroën has chosen this wonderful location to showcase the evolution of a century of history. Thirty models on the display, divided into 3 groups: concept cars, series vehicles, and competition vehicles that have made the history of this long-standing French automotive brand. It’s not by chance if the front of the Citroën Traction’s “double chevron” has been chosen to represent the exhibition this year, thus highlighting the uniqueness of this event. After all, can you imagine any other place rather than Paris to celebrate this milestone? Don’t forget to take the Collector catalogue, which describes the features and the history of the 30 models showcased, with you.
However, Citroën is not the only one to have a reason to celebrate at the 2019 Rétromobile exhibition. In fact, this year Abarth is celebrating its 70th anniversary. Another important milestone, that FCA group is going to honour by showcasing precious and unique models at the exhibition. We are talking about the 1955 Alfa Romeo 750 competizione, the 1958 Abarth-modified Fiat 500, or the 1982 Lancia Rally 037. The spotlight will all be on the 70th anniversary editions of the Abarth 124 Spider GT. A unique vehicle in terms of style and adrenaline-pumping performance.

And what about the other stars of the exhibition? Even Peugeot will attend the Rètromobile exhibition in Paris. This year, this long-standing car manufacturer will showcase their iconic models besides true future-oriented projects. Such as the Concept E-Legend, the electric and autonomous car, or the new version of the Peugeot VLV (Voiture Légère de Ville – Light City Car), which was Peugeot’s first electric model launched in 1941.

But 2019 Rètromobile exhibition is not just an exhibition of vintage cars with a window into the future. Of course, it’s much more than this. Engaging auctions and interesting meetings, in which experts can seal agreements or exchange information will enliven the exhibition. But there’s still room for more. Don’t miss the chance to visit the art gallery, where painters and sculptors showcase their works of art, attracting the most curious ones in over 1000 m2. What’s next? Another must-see exhibition is the one dedicated to vintage motorcycles, World War I tanks in the Tank Museum (a memorial of France fighting in the world conflict), and the unique exhibition dedicated to vintage industrial vehicles. So don’t miss the chance to see the famous Berliet F 100, also known as the “giant of the desert”. This huge vehicle measures 5 metres in height and 15 metres in length and was built in 1957 for special transport. A special outdoor area right next to the Hall has been set up to showcase this gigantic vehicle. You’ll find rarities and pure adrenaline also in the sales-purchase area – Auctions and Special Sales – where you can buy vintage cars at less than €25,000. What a deal! The charm of the past, the enthusiasm of the future, and the emotion of the present. All in one exhibition!
